I found out about Monta ramen at a ramen festival in Torrance but the line was so dang long that I wasn't able to check out. Fast forward a few years and I'm finally able to experience their Kura Ramen at the real Las Vegas location, which is very tiny so large groups aren't recommended. The intimate restaurant reminded me of some ramen places in Japan except they didn't have the vending machine to place your ramen order here.
I really enjoyed their Kura Black Ramen. The broth was very silky and light which I prefer over the thicker broth unless it's cold as hell outside. The garlic chili oil was a very nice touch. The pork was one of the most tender pieces that I've tried in ramen. The pork broke apart so quickly. I was a bit surprised.
I also have to go with my usual pairing of ramen with Gyoza. The wrapping was very thin and the inside was very juicy. What's not to like?
