I used to feel sorry for this restaurant because of its sad situated-ness. I assumed that being next door to Terroni -- the tiger of Yonge Street, hurling out its giant paws and bringing people in by the dozens -- Capocaccia barely eked out a business by capturing the tiger's left-behinds.
But Capocaccia, is a thriving business in and of itself with good quality Italian food, a fun, yet sophistocated, atmosphere and great service. The prices run rather high, but this inflation is to be expected in Rosedale. The antipasto platter is reasonable and large and it includes their buffalo mozzarella which is as creamy as a scoop of Haagen Daz.
