| - After being in AZ for a year, I finally got the dreaded windshield crack that is so common here. I discovered it when I got in my car after work. When I got home, I went to Yelp to look for a place that could repair my windshield. Since I have out of state insurance, I needed to find somewhere reliable but reasonably priced. All of the reviews for Blue Chip impressed me and I also liked how they do free mobile services. My other option was Safelite but I prefer to go with local businesses when possible.
I called after 5:30pm expecting to leave a message since their hours are until 5pm but lucky for me, Kelly (the owner) answered my call. He was very friendly and helpful. He sounded very knowledgeable and even checked to see if my insurance would cover the replacement because some out of state ones do. I was able to schedule an appointment for the next day.
The next day, I received a call from Kelly informing me that the tech would be there within 20 minutes. Exactly 20 minutes later, I got a call letting me know that the tech was there. I went out and met Freddy, unlocked my car doors, and went back to work. About an hour later, I got a call letting me know that my car was done. He explained any special care instructions and informed me how strong a windshield is. I noticed they had a check-in offer of $50 but was told that this was only if you go through your insurance which was a little disappointing.
Either way, I got a brand new windshield in less than 24 hours and it was hassle free. It costed me $230 for a new windshield. They service all over the valley, not just in Phoenix. Highly recommended!
