  • This place is quite busy and appears to have returning clientele, so perhaps my less than stellar experience was an isolated incident. I came in for a regular manicure -just looking to even out my nails, push back my cuticles and get a fresh colour, nothing too intense. My father came with me to get a quick men's mani/pedi. My nails were only filed down a bit to shorten them when I definitely needed more of a buffing because some of my nail layers were peeling. Because this wasn't done, most of my colour flaked within a day. I'm not sure about the quality of the top coat used either since my colour didn't seem to lock in very well. Once my father's pedi was done we sat there for a bit. His scheduled manicure was forgotten about. When we reminded the staff, his mani was done very quickly and we weren't told if he was finished or not. So, again, we sat. Finally asking if his experience was over and if we could go. In general, I felt that because we weren't getting gel or shellac nails and just very basic mani/pedis, we weren't really held in very high regard. The work seemed very rushed and careless. Having said that, Lovely Nails rates are very cheap so maybe I shouldn't have expected more than a quick coat of polish.
