  • Let me start off by saying the Staff are great. Very helpful and nice. Good service but management seems to be lacking or just no budgets from corporate. We arrived on July 3rd, so not a busy day for checks since the holiday weekend was still going. Room was not ready. Check in was at 4, we arrived at 5, no room till 6:30. That is not acceptable. It is not a busy check in time, they had from 11:00 am check out for other rooms to get our room ready (5 hours and we had reservations). Off to a bad start. The place is also dirty. The rooms have stains on the carpet, the lobby is run down. We are locals and in the past came every year but Westin is not spending any money on upkeep. I love the theme and the relaxed vibe. I heard they are going modern with a remodel, which will ruin the ambiance. The upper adult/teen pool was very murky but the bottom pool was clear. Felt uncomfortable swimming in murky water. Kayak rental was suppose to open at 9:00, but we went at 9:10 and no one was at station on beach even though towel window said for us to go there. With so many other choices in Las Vegas, there are better options until Westin elects to put some money back into the cleaning crew and have the rooms ready. Finally, we ate two times at Ricks and really enjoyed it. Ricks did a great job.
