I LOVE SW Dental office and no longer have a fear of going to the dentist. After having a horrible experience at a "unnamed" dental office in Ahwatukee, here was my experience with that previous office; the "unnamed Ahwatukee office" was really nice, they had top notch equipment which was a great first impression. After my consultation they said I had multiple cavities, gum disease, and made me feel really embarrassed and bad about myself. I didn't have dental insurance for a few years and now I do so I wanted to get all that stuff fixed. (Little did I know that was a scam to get me to feel "bad" about my self to be pressured into their services for financial purposes)
I had an infected root canal tooth that put me in quite a bit of pain and SW Dental was the only place my insurance covered, I saw these reviews and I was SO NERVOUS and HORRIFIED. I went to SW dental since I had no other option and they were actually VERY professional in their "General Dentistry" office. The dental assistant was super nice, helpful, and non judgmental. (the previous place made feel feel like I was being judged and deterring me from wanting to visit any dental office) I was seen by Dr. Howell, who was in my opinion a great dentist. He recommended me to get on a great dental plan to get me back on track with regular cleanings and what not and let me know I in fact did not have any cavities which was a pleasant surprise. He referred me to the oral surgeon next door where I had equally as great service.
I made an appointment with this really nice lady at the front and she got me in sooner knowing how important this was. I was seen by Dr. Mazer. He made me feel very confident in his abilities and took great care of me during my surgery. I'm healing very well now and I'm really glad I had him take care of my dental issue. I trust his recommendations and I know he wasn't taking advantage of me. Dr. Mazer and Dr. Howell gave me honest opinions/advice of what I needed and were not just looking to make a buck.
You can tell these Dentists' are not money grubbing people. They are people that actually care about their patients. Yeah sure they don't have the newest, state of the art equipment and a beautiful office but they do have honest caring dentists who will take good care of you and your teeth. I also learned I don't have gum disease, I actually have healthy gums. Don't be fooled by nice offices with "thieves" pressuring you into services you don't need. I highly recommend this dental office and since I saw all these horrible reviews I wanted to share my exceptionally positive experience. I will be returning for all future dental needs and will refer all my family and friends.
