Piccolo is located right in the heart of downtown Belmont & is in a pretty large building. There are 2 stories to the place so expect lots & lots of antique goodies.
It's more of a consignment store, so you're going to have a lot of junk along with the good stuff in here. The upstairs is more like a normal store front, with displays & such, & everything seems a little more organized. But the downstairs has more of a flea market type feel to it, with rows & rows of stuff somehow separated into different categories. It really reminds me of going to Metrolina Expo as a child.
One other section to the building is the wine shop, which I'm not really positive if it's part of Piccolo or not. They have a decent selection of wines, mainly devoted to Carolina or regional wines. They also have some wine related gifts & such, along with home decor type items.
Piccolo is more of a store for the older crowd & antique hunters. It's not really for me but seems like it's always busy with people scouring around looking for that killer deal on antiques.
