  • We just went for a week in WorldMark Las Vegas Blvd penthouse suite. Overall it was a good experience, but there was definitely some down sides. The unit itself is not fancy/glamorous, but very large, nicely decorated and complete with everything to have a great stay. Kitchen was large and fully equipped; beds were comfy; open landscape between the kitchen/dining room/living room was wonderful for entertaining. The BBQ grill on the balcony was quite useful, except when it caught on fire caused by the grease build up from previous use (it was our first time using it and we were only cooking shrimp). Main pool was not working the entire week. This was super disappointing for us because our group planned to hang out there for the majority of our time - partying, celebrating my husband's birthday. The personnel acted surprised and didn't know why/what the status was, but the recurring storyline was that they were waiting for a part. Per other reviewers, the pool is down often. Seems you would keep the necessary parts on hand - especially in the Vegas heat. One day the North pool was extremely low on water (over 2') and very dirty. Then there was the infamous sales pitch. I have owned WM for a long time ("1st generation") and was asked to attend an "owner's update meeting". I told them I did not want to attend a sales pitch and was assured it was not that because they had a "received numerous complaints" about that previously. This was to explain better ways to use our points. Well...yes, it was a sales pitch and the pressure was on. When we continued to say we were happy with what we had the dirty looks started. After they finally realized we were not going to be swayed they started pushing us out the door. I reminded the salesperson that he promised to show up some tips and shortcuts so he quickly showed us one (that was indeed very useful) and swept us out the back door. I would go back again, but don't think I would spend that many points on a penthouse suite a year in advance just to have the main attraction - the pool - closed the entire time.
