| - Don't let the name fool you! When I first heard the name, it sounded kinda manufactured rather than a cool, local spot to enjoy beer. Boy was I wrong! My friend found this place through a Groupon. After reading reviews from others who have used a Groupon, I was a bit hesitant to go. Thankfully, I did.
The Groupon was for a flight of four beers, a pint of your choice, and a 32 oz. can to go. That's one of the best deals I've seen for a brewery around! When we arrived, the staff was friendly and walked us through the Groupon deal. There were a few exceptions to the flight like guest beers, but pretty much everything listed was available for the flight.
After finishing a flight consisting of two IPAs, a dark stout, and a pale ale, I was feeling the beers. Thankfully, there's a food truck on sight. We quickly relocated outside and ordered from the food truck. Prices were reasonable and they had a good choice of food ranging from appetizers like pork sliders (ordered those after the pint) and a breakfast burrito which I used to soak up the flight.
The atmosphere is very chill. Good reggae/rock music playing in the background as your drink your beer. They are located right in the middle of housing/campus buildings, so it had a very "neighborhood bar" feel. They also had some board games that we were able to bust out to keep the conversation lively. At the end, we picked our cans to go and I bought some extra to take with me on an upcoming trip to California.
Overall, this place delivered far beyond my expectations. The Groupon was a great way to check them out. I plan to return again soon and would encourage anyone scared off by past reviews to give them a shot before writing them off.
