| - My second visit to Tonkatsu Kiyoshi...can I just say "Katsu!!"
While their Japanese curry isn't my favorite in town, everything else intertwines perfectly...you know, the way grounded Sesame seeds and Katsu sauce go together...oh, and by the way YOU grind your sesame seeds here the way you like, as fine as powder or as corse as sand...then you put the Katsu sauce, mix it together, and just wait until the very professional and warm server brings you your tray full of fresh and crispy Katsu.
Every table is already set to make your Katsu sauce...Sesame seeds and Katsu sauce. A server will bring you a bowls and wands to grind the sesame seeds according to the number of people in your party.
You can have traditional Tonkatsu (pork loin), Tori Katsu (chicken), Ebi Katsu (shrimp) or Sake Katsu (salmon).
The set menus all come with a bowl of white steamed rice, miso soup, and Japanese pickles. We also had Tori Katsu Curry...comes with a miso soup and salad.
You can cool down with Ashahi beer, other varieties of alcoholic beverages or just water. Four of us came this time and shared all different kinds of Katsu except for pork loin...but I am sure it is as great as the other Kastu, after all, their name Tonkatsu Kiyoshi represents the pork.
People say when in doubt, you fry it or put bacon on it...Tonkatsu Kiyoshi does work magic with frying and pork...so when you are in mood for something you can count on, come on in. A well deserving thanks to the servers who accommodated our seating needs during our dinner, as well as the gentleman who gave us his seat...
