  • Dave's got a makeover Tyra Banks would approve if it were a model on America's Next Top Model. This place used to really struggle to meet my needs and desires for a grocery store, but now I thankfully find it to be a great place to shop. The prices are reasonable and the produce, prepared foods (they have Maha's falafel, steak, gyro and more!), sushi (I only eat veggie but it was great!), alcohol (beer, wine, liquor store!), bakery, deli.. they pretty much improved everything, without making the prices ridiculous which is super needed and appreciated in this neighborhood. The best part of the store (more than the liquor store, $2 broccoli, deals on vegan mac n chees, and 10/$10 mini Nabisco snack cups) is the people who work here. They're almost always friendly and efficient - I've seen a few sincere examples of genuine kindness in the checkout lines. Management seems stressed but I'm sure with a busy store and crew of neighborhood characters there's lots to manage. I really appreciate all that they're doing.
