I don't think Dilly's is technically a deli . . . whatever, doesn't matter. Along with the Cheba Hut, it's a go to place for . . . well, it just seems wrong to call them simply sandwiches
Great giant sandwiches with thickass slices of bread (I don't think I've ever finished a whole one in one sitting), tons of variety, and they've never once been pricks when asked for a special order. "Can I get that without tomatoes and mayo, but with cucumbers and spicy mustard instead?" The "not pricks" factor is always appreciated. They're an especially great value if you get the basket . . . a whole sandwich with a pickle spear and a side for $7. I especially like the mac and pasta salads.
The bread bowl of soup is a tad overpriced for what little soup it comes with if you eat in . . . seems like you get more soup if you get it take out. Strange.
Here's a little take-out tip . . . place your order at Dilly's, then walk across the street to Top's and pick up some brews. By the time you get back, your order will be ready!
