  • Very disappointed in our family's experience at Basil tonight. I live in Texas and am visiting my family from out of town. I suggested we eat at Basil for dinner. Initially experience was good. We sat down and Shalee was our server. She is a very good server by the way. We ordered a chicken coconut soup as an appetizer and then ordered our entrees. Soup came out within 10 minutes. However, it took a little over an hour for our entrees to come out, after the soup being brought to our table. Shalee (server) said the chicken coconut soup will be comped from our bill. A few minutes later, a manager named "Michelle" came to our table and said the soup would not be comped. She said the time stamps on the tickets were in expected time frames. Michelle had a very argumentative and condescending attitude towards us. Keep in mind my parents are in their 60s and my brother and I are in our 30s. Very disappointed that we were treated this way by Michelle. Terrible customer service. Frankly customer service did not exist. We will not be coming back. Owner and management need to do something about Michelle. The way we were treated by her, no paying customer should be treated.
