  • I'd never had a straight-razor shave before, but I'd wanted one for a long time, so I came in today and Don shaved off two-months worth of beard. It was the best $15 I've ever spent. Don cheated and used the clippers on it to get it down to a manageable length first, but I'm not complaining, I loved the hot towel, plus the face and neck massage, the aftershave and lotion, it was an extremely relaxing, A+ experience. Keep in mind that it's not quick, at least not if you've got a thick beard. I was worried I'd lose a lot of blood, I kept looking at Don's fingers to see how red they were, but I don't think he bled me at all, even though I turned out to have a pimple hiding under the beard that I didn't know about.
