| - Self-styled as the "best Indian restaurant in Charlotte," The Blue Taj invites high expectations. We arrived around 130p for the Sunday buffet, and the place was hopping.
The good: lots of veggie options (including several I hadn't tried before, and the most amazing cauliflower), spot-on flavors, quick replacement of empty buffet dishes, and very tasty naan.
The could-be-better: expensive for a Sunday lunch, an awkward set-up, making it difficult to carry a plate and bowl at the same time while navigating back to ones table, no saag paneer on the day we visited, and tip added to parties of 5 or more.
For delicious, authentic Indian food, the Blue Taj nails it. For pricing, service, and logistics, there's a little more work to be done.
