The best way I can describe my experience at Maison Boulud is by acknowledging the high quality food but with a struggling atmosphere and service experience.
Being connected to the Ritz Carlton helps with it's curb appeal, but once inside, the decor seems old fashioned. Greeted by a friendly staff, you feel the effort to create the sense of importance and class. The food overall is better than average but for the price point, I've had much more memorable experiences (Scramouche in Toronto, for example).
Unfortunately, we had a couple of minor issues where the staff had offered to send their in house sommelier to explain the residue on the bottom of my wine glass. They never came.
Overall, I'm giving a 3* because, as a high end restaurant, I expected a bit more. I will gladly revisit to give it another go in the future.
