  • So, let me preface my review with the fact that I am not a car guy, and I went to Newport Motors with my friend who is a car guy, and I also had geared myself for the usual sleaze-ball stuff you hear about in the movies and in other reviews of used car dealerships. I had done some research online at what cars they had in stock, so I had a fairly good idea of which cars I wanted to look at. Upon arriving, my friend and I are able to find both of the cars I was interested in on our own, nobody approached us. We were honestly about to leave when Eduardo finally came out and greeted us and we told him about the two cars I was looking at. He promptly went in to get the keys so he could open them up and also let me test drive them. During the test drive, he and my friend talked about the cars and also the company as a whole, and he was really friendly and awesome. He was straightforward when he didn't have an answer, but did always say that would go find out - never just a flat "I don't know." To make a somewhat long story short, with my credit in an "in-repair" type status, the financing for my first choice of car was a little bit out of range for me, however Eduardo was absolutely amazing in finding me an awesome deal on a 2013 Honda Civic with only about 14500 miles on it! Totally unheard of. He managed to wiggle the down payment down and let me pay it in two separate payments (allowing me to wait until my next payday to pay the rest of it off, something I had never heard of before.) The process took much shorter than buying my very first car (a week long process for I can't even remember why) but was drawn out by the fact that there was a complication with some other customers that it seemed like all of the sales people and the manager had to keep going back and forth on. We were still in there for an entire afternoon, but I did drive off the lot with the car, which I thought was pretty awesome. The only reason I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars is because the service guys did drop the ball when prepping the car - after the test drive I mentioned that the tire pressure light was in, as well as the gas tank was at 25ish miles until empty, both things my friend and myself asked them to fix, and Eduardo asked them to take care of while detailing it. However, upon getting in the car once all was said and done, neither issue had been fixed, I ended up having to come back later and I think someone filled it up out of their own pocket, and I had to go to Circle K to use the automatic air machine to fix the tires - three of which were at 40psi and one was at 20psi. TL;DR--Overall a much more pleasant experience than I had anticipated, while the only hiccup was the porters/service guys (not sure who) dropping the ball on making sure things were perfect on my way out the door. Ask for Eduardo, he'll take care of you!
