  • This happens every time my husband is sick with a cold. We have to find a decent Pho place close to the house so I can pick up the body and mind healing soup, to cure whatever ails him. I came across Pho MaiLan. The broth is very good, not as much basil as I like to be served but the waiters were very nice and brought extra. I always order Meatball Pho with extra meatballs. If you cannot let your broth and meatballs stand alone then you don't have good pho. The meatballs are very well balanced and had a great texture. I love it when I order extra and I get extra! They pass my test and made my husband feel very good. To top it off they serve Three Color Bean Dessert, if you have never had this, it is a great culinary experience. It consists of a white bean sweetened with condensed milk, a sweet red bean, and a rice jelly of some kind, usually green and cut into strips with a wavy slicer. Layered like a trifle and topped with coconut milk and shaved ice. It is spectacular and so refreshing and fun to eat. They make a very good one here. I recommend trying it if you feel adventurous.
