| - Paid over $100 per person for over 60 people for our golf group to play here. We came in from out of town. Conditions were fine, greens were coming back from aeration, nice setting. But do yourself a favor if you are going to book a competitive tournament here, verify in advance WHERE THE TEES WILL ACTUALLY BE SET UP.
We assumed we were playing the tees as laid out on the scorecard. WRONG. The forward tees were moved up further forward by the supertintendent (according to the pro shop), so our players were teeing up on temp tees set up in the fairway!! The distances on many holes were shortened, likely to "speed up play."
Some variation in the tee boxes is expected, but when you shorten the course by that much, you can't use the hole handicaps legitimately. One Par 4 that was supposed to be 320 yards played from tees set in the fairway at 220 yards. Really? When we called them on it, they said "Sorry, we can't do anything about that, it's the superintendent's call." So folks, consider yourself forewarned.
