| - Finally, a Filipino grocery store. Funny thing though, it looks like all other Asian grocery stores in the GTA like TNT or Al Premium. Like the other grocers, they too have cafeteria style restaurants where you can taste Filipino specialties like Bihon Pancit, BBQ pork or chicken marinated Filipino style, BBQ sea food, licheon- roasted pork, Bibingka and Halo Halo. So since we're foodies, we came not to shop for food but to eat here. The Good: this is the only place where you can actually see food being barbequed. NICE. If you want deep fried food, there's Crispy Town and if you want to eat noodles or Ramen there's Noodles. We came in with Filipino couple, so we tried all three places. Also all the employees were genuinely happy to see you and they would speak to you in either Tagalog, the main native language or in English. The Bad: in general, most of the food prepared was good however if you grew up eating Filipino food, there's nothing compared to your mom's cooking really. The Ugly: This place is known for having a particular specialty restaurant but when we went there was no Jobilee Restaurant open yet. Jobilee is a popular fast food resto in Philippines akin to McDonald's. It will only open in a few months. The Ugly: For a grocer of this size, the food cost is a bit on the high end. $$$ for the food.
