| - Sad to see that so many other yelpers have had bad experiences. I've been here a few times, and I feel like they've done a good job. Way better and faster than I could do it myself, so it's worth it for me to take it to Francis & Sons.
I get the basic basic carwash usually. Last time I got the works $15.99 + $1 van - $5 coupon I showed them on my phone from their website = $11.99 plus tip.
Before I even approach the vacuuming/start area, I usually park in one of the parking spots and take everything out of the van, including the rubber floor mats, ice chests, random stuff I have in the car that would impede a good vacuuming job. I often just put everything in a neat pile in the rocks and recollect it at the end. They've never given me a hard time about it.
I also make sure to pop the trunk and politely request that they vacuum the trunk.
After that the car goes through the automated wash.
While the service has never been super fast (a rough estimate would be 35-50 minutes) I would much rather have the employees take their time wiping the car down. Last time I went, I saw two employees work on it for quite some time. I appreciated the detail they took in wiping both the inside and outside of the car. There are some minor streaks on the windows sometimes, but it's not a big deal to me. I feel bad for the yelper, who said his car smelled like cigarettes afterwards, so I would recommend watching the employees closely from the window viewing area or just straight up stand outside and watch them while they work on your car.
If you can, I would go during off hours or earlier in the day when it's not so hot outside. Remember to get their frequent customer/stamp card.
