  • We purchased a Thermador appliance package for our kitchen remodel from Allstate that included 12 appliances. We put 50% down in June expecting to have them delivered in November. First of October they called and requested the balance paid in full. Five months after giving them the deposit we called to have the appliances delivered. We found out from the driver upon his arrival that 5 items were back ordered. While unboxing the wine column it fell on its glass face on the driveway. Understanding that accidents happen, we assumed that Allstate would take care of the situation. After numerous calls we were finally able to talk to Gordon (Operation/Installation Manger) and his response was "it should be fine." Upon further inspection the front glass door was cracked and an interior shelf was broken. When we reached out to Gordon again we were told that we would need to contact Thermador as any issues would have to be handled as a warranty repair. Only after calling our salesman and reminding them that it was not a manufacturers defect, the unit was dropped by their delivery team, did they agree to replace it. The ice maker they delivered was not the model we ordered. They installed the refrigeration drawers which quit working a week later. They came 5 times to deliver items and we still ended up having to pick up parts ourselves from their showroom. The entire experience with Allstate was extremely frustrating, their follow up was horrendous. Days went by with no response to our inquires about when the missing items would be delivered. They promised an early a.m. delivery and did not show up until late afternoon at which point they didn't have time to install what they were delivering because there was no interior light due to construction. During the 5 weeks we were dealing with Allstate we attempted to call Melissa G. who responds to the negative reviews on Yelp. She wasn't available and the owner took my call, listened to my story and referred the us back to the salesman. Nothing improved. The construction project lasted 8 months and by the time we were finished we just wanted to move forward and forget about it. But, 2 weeks later we noticed that paint was chipping off the inside of the microwave. We called Thermador and when the tech came to replace it he found the back and side of the microwave had been crushed and indicated that it should never have been installed. There is no way the Allstate install crew would not have seen the issue. They choose to install it anyway. We recommend prospective shoppers to seek out another dealer. We wish we had Yelped them before the purchase and saved ourselves the additional stress and inconvenience and hope this review helps others embarking on a similar project.
