| - I'm a little disappointed with my experience here. I originally booked for a Wednesday, but called in on the Tuesday prior to see if they had availability to take me in a day before. They said yes. Since it was my first time there, I did not care who I was booked with.
Upon arrival, the girl was on the phone and just passively gave me the intake form. That's fine, I understood she was busy and just went ahead and filled the form. Once done, the same girl asked me to follow her into the room to do the facial.
I did not enjoy that she wore cheap plastic gloves during the facial. It kept on sticking to the products then moved, so I felt as if the products were not being spread thoroughly on my face. Out of all the years I have been doing facials, I had never had anyone wear gloves during the treatment. Moving along...Can I just mention that the reason why I wanted to get a facial done was so because of the extractions (ESPECIALLY with the breakouts I have on my forehead and cheeks/side of face, which are ready to be extracted, but I don't want to do myself because I don't want to damage my skin) and the use of strong products (exfoliant) I do not have at home? The girl used the daily superfoliant for my extraction...that exfoliant is gentle enough to be used on a daily basis, so in my opinion, not strong enough for me. When it came to the extractions, she only extracted a few white heads/black heads from my nose and chin...AGAIN, I came here to get rid of the pimples I had on my forehead and side of face that were ready to be extracted, but I did not want to extract myself because I don't want to ruin my skin. At that point, I felt like I had wasted my money since I did not received a full facial. Oh, and she then mentioned that next time I should book for a microdermabrasion instead since that would be 'best' for my skin. How about you just use a stronger exfoliant because I've had dermalogica facials that worked wonders on my skin that it did the same job as a micro treatment.
Now to end off, who was I booked with? I don't know. The girl did not mention her name. I'm assuming it was Sarah since I received an email after my appointment that I was rescheduled to that day with Sarah. But who knows...I won't be back. I tried to love this place, especially because of the reviews here, but I guess you can never truly believe in reviews.
