  • Visited on Sunday 9-25-16 at 7:30 PM. This little cafe is located on Flamingo between Eastern & Maryland just a few doors down from Yama Sushi. Upon walking in we stood at the counter for a good five minutes admiring the over-flowing trash can before a man appeared and stared blankly at us. $9.68 got us a regular size milk tea and an egg waffle combo. After I signed the iPad and left a $2 tip the man pressed a button on it and then walked in the back. Oooookay we're done I guess... After we ordered my husband sat down and I went to the restroom to wash my hands. Lemme just tell ya....I think I felt cleaner before I went into the restroom than when I came out. They have only been open for like 2 weeks so I'm guessing they did not renovate that part from the previous occupants of the building. I felt like that scene in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective when Ace walks into the room full of taxidermied animals. The faucet on the sink was covered in hard-water deposits that can be easily scraped away and the underside of the sink had pipe covers that were absolutely covered in filth and muck. The toilet had poo splatters and a thick layer of dust and the trash can was overflowing with paper towels and the floor was littered with them as well. I really think they need to give this bathroom a face lift since the rest of the place is so cutely decorated...or maybe just give it a good cleaning. $5.35 chocolate egg waffle combo- the menu says it has chocolate ice cream, fresh bananas, and chocolate pocky sticks. What was served was a cup with a chocolate egg waffle, chocolate ice cream with nuts in it, pocky sticks, and fruity pebbles. There was no fresh bananas to be found and the fruity pebbles and nuts were a surprise. The menu description was not accurate or they weren't paying attention, either way it's not good. The utensil provided for enjoying this treat was the flimsiest spork I've ever encountered. Trying to dive into the ice cream with it just made it bend backwards. They really should think about getting different (more sturdy) spoons. Having said that, the egg waffle was what I came here for and I was not disappointed. It was warm, fluffy, chocolatey, and I love how the bubbles break apart. I would love to have one of these with butter and syrup. Also I bet it would be amazing with fried chicken inside it like a sandwich. Soon they will have cute little Taiyaki fish cakes which I would love to try as well. I also got a sea salt oolong milk tea which was below average. Next time I would ask for it less sweet because it was cloyingly saccharine. Also when I shook the drink to mix the sea salt the cream began to get chunky and curdle which I've never seen in a milk tea. About half of it went in the trash. They've got some kinks to iron out but if you're coming here for the egg waffles or eventually for the taiyaki you'll be happy here.
