| - This review is based off of the horrible vegan doughnuts!
We heard from a family member that this place will make an order of vegan doughnuts for you if you order them on a certain week, which already seemed like an ordeal. At the time, not knowing about the Vegan Doughnut Company or Cinnaholic, we still drove from Avon (solid 25 minutes) to make an order of these things.
Side note: They are putting one in Avon so we can be reminded of the money we wasted on a weekly basis!
When we got there, we were greeted by an attitude and then given a list of vegan options to order before the person then returned to the back without asking if we had questions. When the woman reemerged, we made our order for a dozen doughnuts. I'll admit, we got excited due to the flavors, but it was nothing to even be somewhat happy for.
When we returned (another 25 minute drive) to get the doughnuts, we got them and did not open them up until the car. When we opened them, we were in shock. These doughnuts are not only so tiny (not just little), but they were horrible in every way. Additionally, these doughnuts were not cheap. They tasted like stale sweetened bread, and the frosting was so dry and bland.
Our whole family felt as if we threw $30 and 4 25 minute drives out of our window, and we were truly disappointed. I highly advise not to even look at these horrible vegan doughnuts and never visit PL&LD to avoid experiencing their horrid service.
