| - I've visited the old location once or twice, and I don't remember it to much, but I've visited this one many times since its grand opening. Usually when I visit, its just to see if there's any sweet deals going on. I don't think I've ever left the place empty handed because there's always something that catches my eye.
But recently, the place seems to be on a decline, which isn't surprising because it got super popular. Its not exactly because of the prices, since there technically isnt a set inventory on items, since most are damaged, expired, or overstock. The inventory isn't as good as it used to be though. I used to easily be able to spend the $50 to spin the wheel, but now, I'm putting in just $10-15 on a trip. I still like the store though and go there every Friday to shop.
With their dining area, which I see the 1360 West Grill closed, which was the Old Glory Cafe before that, kind of sucks. Both cafe's had some sweet deals for meals. They do have a sign saying to expect something there in the future, so I hope they get another value restaurant in there because I'm all about deals and saving money.
As far as the quality of some things, since that seems to shoo away some customers, I don't mind buying damaged/expired goods. I mean, I got a half gallon of Egg Nog for $1.50, there's nowhere that sells egg nogg that cheap! I dont care if its a month or two off, its just saving money. There was one thing I bought that got me sick, it was a frozen sandwich, but when I went there the next week, all of them were pulled out of the freezers, so I guess people complained. Its a hit or miss that you just have to risk on. You won't die buying a candy bar that expired 3 months ago, especially if it costs 33 cents! I even found a whole Cheesecake Factory Red Velvet Cheesecake for like $8. Perfectly fine and tasted heavenly. The only thing I really haven't bought is most dairy products (except cheese, we always buy a block of cheddar or swiss) and produce.
This store always has friendly employees and even if you aren't religious, or even Christian, you shouldn't let their overall Christianity store bother ya. Its not like they're rubbing it in your face anyways.
Even though the store isn't as great as it was when it first started up, its still a great store to visit
