So this was a weird experience. I'm a dessert person. When I was looking at the menu online there was a picture of a Churro - it looked delicious, sold. In addition I wanted to support a business that participated in the immigrant protest. My son took me there for my birthday! The tequila bar was good, the food was delicious. Here's the part that gets tricky. After seeing the desserts on the menu, I knew before I had selected my entrée that I wanted the Tres Leche Cake. So after dinner I told our waitress that I would like to try it. She asked me if I had ever had it there before. I replied no, first time in restaurant. She went on to explain that it was dry, not the usual Tres Leche Cake, very bad and in the same breath handed me the check. Wow! Nothing was offered on the dessert menu instead of the foul Tres Leche she described. Did I mention it was my birthday? I don't even remember details about my food, just the dessert part. I left with a bad taste in my mouth for this place. Did I mention it was my birthday and I absolutely love dessert. I have shared this story with others who were also speechless and shocked!
