| - I AM TAKING THESE PEOPLE TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT!! They will damage your items and NOT RETURN CALLS. This is by far the worst and most unprofessional dry cleaning service I have ever encountered. They caused $1000's in damages ($2000 quoted for custom drapes to be replaced, still looking for seamstress to remake custom comforter and tassles)!! I should have ran the other way when I saw a paper sign on the window (not a lighted sign above). But I had spoken to the owner's husband and he assured me my drapes and bedding would be handled with TLC. Well... first of all, as the others have mentioned, they had a screaming kid running around. He should have been in daycare. Second of all, the place is so small, it's obvious that they send ALL ITEMS to another dry cleaner! They don't do the work onsite! I dropped off CUSTOM drapes and matching CUSTOM comforter, along with a store bought comforter and about 7 store bought drapes. They were all in perfect condition when dropped off. A week later (took that long because they don't do their own work)... I picked up my items and to my horror, MY CUSTOM DRAPES WERE WASHED!!!!!! IN A WASHER!!!!!! YOU CAN SMELL THE DETERGENT AND THEY WERE STILL DAMP!!! They drapes shrunk, had holes in them, and looked like they had been washed in a washer and possibly dried in a dryer! The custom comforter MAY HAVE BEEN WASHED... the custom down comforter inside the custom duvet was mangled... all feathers had gathered all on the left side, leaving it lumpy and the right side completely flat! The duvet cover looks misshapen. They didn't even bother to take the down comforter out of the duvet cover! The tassles at each corner were DAMAGED!! These tassles and duvet cover were hand-made to match all the hand-made pillows and lamp shades in my bedroom. Well, the "owner" was contacted and she apologized, admitted that she sends her items out to be "washed/dry cleaned" and agreed that FINE DRAPES/BEDDING ARE NOT TO BE WASHED. She was disgusted with the service and promised to have her seamstress fix everything. Needless to say, NOTHING WAS FIXED... the drapes look exactly the same, the comforter's tassles are not back to their original state, the down comforter inside the duvet was not fixed, and THE OWNER IS NOT RETURNING MY CALLS. I have no choice but to take her to small claims court!! The drapes cost $2000 to be replaced and I have 3 professional quotes on that, and I will be getting a quote on the rest. The comforter and tassles cost more than the drapes and I need to find someone who can remake something comparable. I will include photos soon.
