  • First tip, don't hit the directions button from Yelp because it will take you to the wrong place. I let the owner know and she is going to try and fix it, but until then, use the address from their website or Google for directions. The correct address is 4701 Hartis Road, Indian Trail, NC. I brought my kids to Wise Acres on a cool fall Saturday. They had a great time playing in the corn box, so much so that they didn't want to get out to do anything else! The corn box is $2 per kid and well worth it. The kids loved the play area, especially the zip line and "balance beam," which is tow straps tied between trees. The hay ride needs some work because it took us by an enormous mulch pile and one loop in the woods ($3 each). A sign said they are working on a new hayride route for 2017. The kids also liked the barrel train ride ($2 each). The sorghum maze was ok, but had some weak spots due to the Hurricane Matthew that rolled through a few weeks ago. The kids' favorite activity was the corn box and they headed back there to finish off our trip. This isn't a petting zoo type of farm. There are some chickens to feed, two goats to pet, and a hutch of rabbits to look at. If you really want to pet animals, you'll want another farm. We visited the pumpkin patch and selected several pumpkins. The farm does not charge a general admission and charges 69 cents a pound for pumpkins. They have lots of wagons so you can pull kids and load pumpkins from the field. The food options were delicious. I had some of the best popcorn ever, the kids fought over the organic cotton candy, and we shared a strawberry lemonade slush. We ordered wood-fired oven pizza and took it with us. The bottoms of the pizzas were kind of burned, but the crust and cheese was delicious. Pizzas are $10 for cheese or margarita and $12 for pepperoni. Bathroom options are port-a-potties and hand washing stations. One kid had to use the facilities while we were there and at least it was clean. Overall, my kids loved this place and played nonstop for 3 hours. My adult rating is more like a 4, but based on my kids' experience, I'm giving it a 5.
