Underwhelming would be my singular descriptive word for my experience. That was my surprise here. I'd heard good things about this place and decided to make a reservation to meet a friend for dinner. There were 2 hostesses that clearly had very poor communication skills. While waiting to be seated, the one hostess with whom I'd checked in per my reservation completely misdirected another pair that took our table. Mind you they had no reservation. Strike one. After being seated, we placed a drink order. I asked for ginger ale and my friend ordered a martini. What they brought me was ginger BEER (I'm not a drinker). The waitress apologized and made a joke about she herself being a lush. Strike 2. My friend made a joke about how she'd probably just drink the beer herself. I think he was right. When I asked about a particular entree I'd heard about she told me thet no longer served it and it was too bad because it was "really good!". Strike 3. I have to ask, why the HELL would a server describe something (which isn't available) as "really good"? Also, why would she not recommend something else? Complete fail. At the end of the meal, I had to ask for a water refill and our server came over with an order pad and stood for a minute. Apparently she'd heard "order please?" instead of "more water please?". Strike 4? I really do think she drank that beer. Given the atmosphere and prices, I anticipated a better dining experience. No second chances or recommendations from me.
