  • Again i find myself back at this horrendous establishment. Now a lot of people complain about the riff raff and homeless individuals that frequent this has-been Casino. First I would like to say that this used to be one of my favorite places on Fremont st and that I consider myself to be a decent human being who has a good heart towards just about everyone and everything. My complaint. The security. Well they dont secure or protect anyone. They will harass you over the smallest thibg even if it it has nothing to do with them. Like the 40 small tv desk style areas that will have maybe 10-15 occcupants when busy watching horse races. Yet they give you the option to change channels to other sports that can be bet on like baseball, basketball etc.... But the security will go around and yell out loud at any given time for no reason "All these tv's must be on horse racing" now i get why this place gets such low reviews. It is almost border line jail or prison like. Any sane traveler that comes to vegas wants to relax and have a good time. This isnt the place for that. Anyway this is why the Plaza Hotel and Casino Should just close down. Since 2005 I have been coming here. Through the years I noticed so many things off about this place and the employees and Managers that attempt to run it. #1 The worn out waitresses give you a attitude if you ask for a beverage (after dumping $100 on a machine that never hits) Then when u dont tip them for that reason they have a stroke and roll their eyes. #2 The Security Does everything(Including Harass and try to intimidate" Which just chases away the real spenders. They do nothing to keep you safe. #3 William hill sporting books area is patrolled like its a war zone. You will see 6 or 7 different security guards walk through. If you so much as look at them they will try to intimidate you with made as they go rules. #4 Dont bet on late games that go on past 9pm They will shut down the Tvs and tell you to vacate the area even if you are watchibg a game or two that you have bet money on. #5 Management will also try to intimidate you. It is almost like they want this place to go under. #6 The new food court has subway, Mcdonalds and some Mexican fast food place. Be prepared to pay 3 times for a sub at subway. * El Cortez has a subway and it is 7$ for a footlong not $12.99 like at the plaza food court. I could go on for hours but i wont. Now I could use the typical stereotype and blame the homeless and low income population but i wont because they keep a place like this running even if the ownership or management wont admit it.....See for yourself. I hope this helps. Go to Golden Nugget or Main Street Station if you want to be treated right. Same customers and atmosphere but the aervice is excellent. You will get what I mean then
