  • The Mattress Factory, a contemporary art museum, was founded in 1977 and has showcased art from hundreds of artists from around the world. My favorite art so far has been Chiharu Shiota's Trace of Memory (the photos above with the cobwebs in the rooms; leaving in 2015? If so, go see it now!) and Yayoi Kusama's Repetitive Vision (the dotted mannequins and mirrors; permanent). The only thing that I did not enjoy about this museum is that some of the exhibits are very dark and hard to see in. My husband and I have walked into walls!
