  • So I don't know if it is truly correlated, but ever since steve jobs died, the service here has been horrible! It took them two and a half weeks of having my computer (without contacting me in any way) before i got it back... Not fixed! Now mind you, this is the second time i have taken it in for the same problem AND the second time they have given it back to me with nothing repaired. Not to mention this is the third time I have been treated with pretentious snobbery such that you'd think i was a loitering homeless man instead of a paying customer. So yes, it is nice to have apple care (that i payed an arm and a leg for) such that they can repair it for free... But what the hell is the point if nothing gets fixed? I don't know, call me old fashioned, but i would really like to just be able to call and ask, "what is the status on my computer?" And actually (a) be able to talk to a human, and (b) not have to wait on hold for 90 excruciating minutes before getting disconnected, having to ultimately leave a voicemail (after waiting on hold another hour) and then FINALLY getting a call back two days later saying (via a voicemail) "we couldn't fix your computer, so i guess we'll just give you a new one... If you want..." So there it is. That is the only reason this isn't a one-star review: because they are going to replace my computer (allegedly that is... it hasn't actually happened yet). Otherwise, the world of hell that i have been through just to get to this point was about as bad as i've ever seen. Conclusion? I guess apple has deemed it cheaper to replace my $2,000 lap top than to hire a competent employee to answer a telephone or repair it. Il'l keep you posted...
