  • We decided to come to the King's Kitchen because of their message of helping those less fortunate. The meal started and ended on high notes but the middle was very lackluster. We started our meal with the sweet potato fritters with honey and I was blown away. They could have easily been served for dessert and were out of this world delicious. I would have been a lot happier if i just got these and then dessert. This 3 star review would have at least been 4 stars. For dinner i was starving so i got the King's Kitchen Burger with a side of Mac and Cheese. I wasn't asked what temp i wanted my burger at so i made sure to clarify that i wanted it medium rare, it was definitely more medium/medium well. My mac and cheese was good, but wasn't outstanding. Overall the dinner portion was mediocre at best. My one friend got the gumbo, which she seemed fairly happy with, and the corn bread. The corn bread was dry dry dry. It was definitely not what she wanted. My other friend got the tomato soup and was happy with it. She got a biscuit on the side and loved being able to dip it in the soup. For dessert we decided to split the banana pudding with a marshmallow on top. We told our waiter that we were going to split it and she kindly had them split it in the kitchen so we each got our own marshmallow. The banana pudding was delicious. If i come back to the King's Kitchen i am going for the sweet potato fritters and the dessert. Everything else was not worth it.
