| - A-OK is about right. We stayed here on our road trip back to LA and for 1 night, we had a good time with the family.
The good:
- The price was the best in LV for a last minute reservation on a Friday night. We saved over $100 vs the Strip.
- Light show in the central garden / courtyard. Super cheesy but the kids lapped it up.
- Free breakfast in their buffet area, Firelight. Free food tastes great!
- Bowling alley in house, yippee! We even stayed for the extreme bowling hours and caught up on our music videos...a bit racy for kids. Never noticed that before, heheh.
The not so good:
- 1 star off for no fridge in the room. This was inconvenient.
- Another star or more off for the smell. If you're a non-smoker, it's difficult to not notice the smell of either cigarettes or the chemicals used to get rid of the smell. There are non-smoking hotels, even in Vegas, if this is an issue for you.
Never been to this older part of town before. Now I know why, just kidding...actually, not really. But Sam's Town, according to The Killers at least, is a Vegas institution, worthy of at least one visit. Just do it. :)
