  • If I could give this office, who calls themselves professionals, a zero star - I would ! Office staff has the worst bedside manner of any doctors office I've ever been in. I went in for my routine annual exam, a week later a family member brought some serious cancer concerns to my attention. I tried to get some additional testing (a week after my annual exam), and I couldn't even get anyone to answer my simple question, "Can you tell me if Dr. Hughes does this or do I need to find a specialist?" I waited for a call back, the woman answered the phone said somebody in scheduling would call me back. The next afternoon, I called again and said I was trying to make an appointment. A very rude female answered the phone (a different rude female from the day before), and at this time I was told that I need to wait two days for a call back, "We have two days to call you back." I explained to her that I had been waiting for a call back just to confirm whether or not I needed to find a specialist, or could I make an appointment with them. Then this female proceeded to tell me how I needed to wait, and when I said, "I can't find out if I need to call someone else for this?" Her answer, "yeah you can find out, after you wait two days." These were the most unprofessional conversations and interactions I've ever had with any doctors office, and I will never return. I spoke to my daughter, who has also gone to this office before, and she told me that she has had the same experience before. She said that they never return her calls, to the point that she also stopped going. So, now in addition to the stresses in the back of my mind about medical procedures that are foreign to me...I get the most uncaring response to my simple attempt to be proactive and get screening. 4 days later, still no return phone call. Thanks for nothing Dr. Hughes & staff.
