| - I stopped by this branch a few days ago under a half hour before they closed to make a quick few copies. They are right by Fry's groceries, so I figured I could make copies and next get groceries in one stop.
The young gal was working alone at the copy center. When I strolled over behind the registers to look at the colored copies and pick a color, she strode up to me and said something like colored paper cost extra. At first, I thought she was telling me customers weren't permitted in that area. As I was making copies, she let me know again that colored papers cost extra. I thought it was odd that she reiterated like it was very important. When I was done and walked to the front to pay, there was confusion between colored paper and color copies, because the proof sheet only stated b/w copies and nothing about paper type used. As she was going to let me go and not have to pay (since it was only very few copies), the guy behind her stopped her as if she was not supposed to do that, thereby treating her like she was new/inexperienced or under-educated. After what he did, she appeared to feel deflated. I supposed the environment is tense for some previous customers and there was strife among the associates on the floor in that store daily (that influenced the way she quickly approached me about colored paper cost)? Whatever the case, I am just not comfortable with the way a man talks a certain way towards a woman. If she was mistaken or wrong, he needed to remind her politely and not treat her like she was deliberately bending the rules. Which is mainly why I decided to write this review- to send a message. I didn't get their names, but the female associate was a Hispanic in her 20s(?) and the male associate was an African-American in his 50s(?). The incident happened just before closing at 8 PM on Nov 14. Sad. No wonder they're not busy whenever I passed it to get to Fry's. Looks like I won't make future copies in this store name and branch. The atmosphere just felt too somber, like they were going out of business and were depressed about it. Relax, it's just a few cheap copies. Please be kind and mind your manners in front of customers and in public.
