If you are a kitchen gadget hoarder like me, you probably will have a decent time at Home Outfitters (despite the lack of service).
The first time I was here there was a sale on designer kitchenware like Joseph Joseph, oxo, and Paderno where if you bought 3 items or more you would get 40% off all of the applicable items. I also bought a pack of 3 Henckels knives for $30 to use for culinary class which was an amazing deal.
The cashier hands out an additional coupon with any purchase which can be used the following month. If you like good deals like me, there is usually a coupon on the back of their flyer every week which allows you to save between 15-25% off a regular priced item.
The downside here is there isn't any customer service to speak of. The wait to check out can be painfully long if you come here on a weekend afternoon since I have only ever seen 2 people on cash at their busiest. I once asked them to help me hold my $300 purchase because the line was so long and they ended up returning my goodies to their respective shelves.
The sales associates will not ask you if you need help either. That is fine with me seeing as I like to consult amazon and other online sources to justify my unnecessary purchases. If you like more attentive and helpful sales reps I would say Crate and Barrel is the better choice.
