  • Extremely bad experience with the Desert Rock store consignment. I told them I want $60 back for my brand new climbing shoes (normal retail for $130+), and asked he to let me know once it's sold ,which he agreed. Then a month later I went to check, they already sold my shoes weeks ago without contacting me, also they sold it for $60 so I can only get something like $34 back . Also , when I found out he acted like it's no big deal, if not rude and indifferent . And I couldn't even get cash back and had to wait for 2 days for the owner to be present to write me a check. Worst experience ever, and I'll never buy anything from that store or consign anything. I've sold stuff for way better price on mountain project or eBay . All the gear at Desert Rock are overpriced compared to backcountry or STP regular prices, not to mention Backcountry and STP have sales going on all the time.
