  • I originally started attending the Center in summer of 2013. What really interested me was the Youth programs and more specifically the HIV Prevention group. I enjoyed it at first, but then I began to see how cliquey the place is. The staff clearly have their favorites among the youth and young adults which is a bit questionable. The events are entertaining but at times the people who attend them or facilitate them can be very rude and or intimidating. It was rather alarming when I attended an event and was witness to a conversation where a group of attendees were sitting at a table openly discussing another attendee's HIV status. Overall this place needs a complete overhaul of there staff and programming. Very tragic that a center that was created to be a haven for our community is so toxic and dangerous.
