  • Let me update my experience with this clueless business. When I purchased my Golf, it was one of the final sold before the scandal hit. Volkswagen as a corporation made good on their fraud and I received compensation and a proper fix for my engine but I am incensed about this dealership that I originally dealt with. First, I insisted upon an extended maintenance warranty so that my diesel engine services would be taken care of through the first 40,000 miles since they can be expensive. Normally, the dealership would sell you a Volkswagen approved warranty that is honored at all dealerships but this place snuck in an aftermarket one that could only be used at their place. I work a few blocks away from another dealership in Scottsdale that has been wonderful in their service and assistance but I couldn't get my regular services done there without paying. I ensured that once the fix was approved for my engine that the Scottsdale lot did the work. Since I bought the car at Larry Miller I have had incessant sales phone calls to my cell phone despite each time telling them that I didn't want to buy another vehicle from them. Those calls would come in at all hours of the day even during work times. No amount of pleading with them despite assurances that they'd mark the file resulted in the calls stopping. On my final trip to their dealership (I'll never set foot in their place again) for my final free service under their crappy warranty, I walked away from the dealership to get a meal as they were working only to get 2 sales calls in a row. Obviously my calls to schedule the maintenance keyed something in their system to say I was a sales prospect. I went ballistic and asked to speak to a manager. I needed the service department to be able to contact me so I couldn't just block the number so I told the guy (doubt he was really a manager) to ensure this never happens again. That lasted until today when I got 2 calls in a row. Now their number is blocked and I don't care if they are selling new cars for a dollar, I will never again do business with them. I love my Golf but VW needs to clear out the management of that place and replace it with employees like the Scottsdale branch who have never intruded on my privacy.
