| - So my last name is Zyskowski . . . slightly Polish, ehh? I moved to the EV 6+ years ago from Minnesota and Chicago, and Stanley's is THE spot for European sausage in AZ.
Going to Stanley's is a mental trip. It's tiny and in a crap part of town. You walk in and there's dried sausage and meats just hanging on the wall. The big ol' Polish babushka behind the counter treats you like the neighbor kid she'd like to take a belt to . . .
But the sausage is fantastic. I highly recommend the double smoked and the spicy Hungarian hanging on the wall, as well as their fresh Polish sausage. It may scare the newbie, because the Polish looks like a giant horse cock, but boil it, then brown it in the oven and it's fantastic
I've been very disappointed with the peirogi though. Just not up to my Gram's
Fair warning, if you plan on picking up sausage for Thanksgiving, x-mas, or easter, don't go the day before. The line usually winds out the door, so expect to wait near an hour, and they tend to run out of things halfway through those pre-days
