Your slogan is "where we treat you and your car like a super star" is not really correct. Because of your recent promotion I recently became an unlimited pass member so will be regularly bringing my 2016 Tundra with less than 12K miles into the car wash. I also asked for additional brochures so I could tell my family members about the special and as a company we can use your car wash to keep our fleet of vehicles washed on a weekly basis.
Last Thursday I took my truck to the Arizona Ave location which is near my home. There was an attendant at the gate and one inside the wash area who pre-rinsed the front of my truck and gave me a wet paper towel and deodorant card to put under my front seat.
All seemed fine till I reached the end of the car wash and noticed both of my mirrors were closed shut by the wash brushes. An occurrence that did not happen at the Warner Road location. I pulled into a stall to dry my truck, vacuum and wipe down the interior. It was not until several hours later I noticed my antenna was missing. I called the office but by then they were closed. I called Friday morning and Ivanna answered the phone. When I told her the situation with my truck she immediately jumped into a defense posture explaining they are NOT responsible and they have signs posted warning signs before you enter the car wash. After asking her to calm down and to take a deep breath I explained I was not calling to demand you replace my antenna but asked if she could contact the store and ask someone there to look for it inside the car wash bay. She said they do not have a phone, which is very hard for me to believe but I presumed because none are listed, but said she would send an email asking if they could look for the antenna.
It has been almost 24 hours and no one has called therefore I can only assume nobody bothered looking and the antenna is gone.
I am very disappointed about this situation. If this is such a big deal that they post warning signs, which I have never noticed, then why aren't their staff instructed to provide that additional customer service warning about possible damage to the antenna if not removed.
The car wash needs to understand when we the public enter the car wash we are concentrating on the type and price of wash we want. We are not thinking about warning signs or possible damage that could occur by using their facility.
Therefore, even though your slogan, which could also pass as one of your "core values", is a place "where we treat you and your car like a super star", I challenge you to model all of your behavior and ethical practices to match that statement. Right now this MVP most certainly does not feel like a superstar. Remember, if this is not practiced from the top it will never reach those who touch your customers.
