| - This is a newer store in the valley, so it is always clean and fairly well kept. It is in an area that is not extremely busy however, and that creates obstacles to shopping.
Since the store is a slow one, I am always approached by at least 2 people at the door who talk over each other to try and greet me, as one of them shoves an ad flyer at me. This overzealousness could be overlooked if there was someone available on the sales floor when I need help, but alas no. When I Actually require the assistance of an employee there are none to be found, unless I walk all the way back to front entrance, where I am informed that they are not allowed to leave the door.
If this wasn't enough, when I finally locate the things I need to purchase and make my way to the front checkouts I decide to use the self checkouts. Rather than being allowed to use the self checkouts I am headed off by a cashier who grabs the products out of my hand and takes it to the manned station between the self checkout stands. If I wanted a cashier, I would not have chosen the self checkout! Additionally, I felt very uncomfortable with someone just coming up and grabbing my products out of my hand.
The overall attitude and feel of the store is now uncomfortable to me. They probably think they are providing proactive customer service, but in reality it is a smothering and borderline hostile atmosphere. If there is a different Home depot in close proximity to your home, I would avoid this location.
