| - I am complaining here since there isn't a Colony American Homes Yelp in California. If I could give zero stars, I would!!! I am not a renter, but I live next door to people who rent from CAH. I am a home owner and lived in my home since 1977. My home was my childhood home and was passed on to me from my parents. I loved living here because it's a very quiet neighborhood. The neighbors all get along. We all watch out for each other, but at the same time, we all keep to ourselves.
We USED to live in a very quiet neighborhood, until my next door neighbors who rent from Colony American Homes moved in October 2014 and they brought some roosters with them! It's driving me crazy! My children are complaining because it's waking them up so early in the morning and crows ALL day! My neighbors are all complaining. I've already had an altercation with them after only two weeks of them live here, because playing they're obnoxiously loud bass that was literally shaking the houses in our cul de sac. (I am a reservist who just came back from Afghanistan and it honestly felt like a rocket attack.) I started having a panic attack and and asked them lower the bass and give the "US" some respect and consideration. Then, they tried to hit me with their truck. I was shocked... so were the other neighbors. We've complained to the police, but they stated that they couldn't do anything about it because it wasn't witnessed by the cops.
We (the neighbors) have called Colony American Homes multiple times as well as animal control regarding the roosters. Our neighborhood is not zoned for roosters. I have personally spoke to someone who works for CAH, and she even stated the renters are only to have cats, dogs and fishes. The neighbors were warned about the roosters by animal control. The next door neighbors tried to be slick and 'hide' their hens/roosters in their garage. They still could be heard. They were in there only for a couple of days. the roosters are back outside. I took some video of the roosters and sent it to the property manager out here and nothing has been done about it. The property manager didn't even respond to my complaint and video.
Now, starting at 2230, the next door neighbors have been revving their engines off and on for 30 minutes, then started hammering or pounding something in their garage. This is the nightmare neighbors from hell. I really don't know who the heck they think they are, moving into our quiet neighborhood and trying to take over. My dad is so afraid that they will retaliate and harm me... even worse I fear they my do something to my kids. What's even worse is that we can't even have our windows open, because they smoke marijuana and the smell goes into our home. The neighbors are too afraid to say anything to them because of what had already happened to me. I really don't know what to do anymore... except to get a lawyer involved. Oh, by the way, they let loose their rabbit and it eats the neighbors (including ours) plants, flower and grass. It is apparent that this company doesn't care, as long as they have renters who pay on time! This is total BS!
