I stopped into Piper's Pub a week or so ago for dinner on a Saturday night. I'm not sure why, but I went into Piper's with a preconceived notion that this was going to be a chainy, manufactured fun style fake Irish Pub. However, my meal and our experience changed my mind. This is just a good place to get great food. The serving sizes are huge, and everything we had tasted great. The only thing I was a bit taken by was the beer prices ($4 for a yunegling bottle is a bit steep.) I will definately be coming back again.
P,S. My room mate swears that this is the best fish and chips in all of Pittsburgh.
