| - Hertz usually wins my business when it comes to car rentals, but I would not recommend this location. The staff here seemed confused on how to serve me when I visited a couple of weeks ago, and I would expect better at an international airport.
The order of events, which ensued:
- I stopped in to rent a car.
- Spoke to a representative who then told me to talk to someone on the phone. The in-person repped then left.
- Booked a reservation on the phone and then looked around in their empty office to speak to someone.
- Waited for ten minutes.
- A representative finally returned from a break to hand me off to someone else.
- Then that repped grabbed my credit card info, and then disappeared.
- A third person arrived to take care of my transaction. Then...
- I was told to wait outside for car.
- Got into the car, but wanted a new one because it smelled of puke.
- Waited another ten minutes, for a new car.
The whole experience took 45 minutes-ish, just to rent a car!
Other tidbits:
- Of course, it's cheaper to fill your rental up with gas before returning it.
- I am not a Gold Member. It cost $111.86 to rent, for an entire day.
Due to their location and hence high-volume of travelers who come through McCarran International, they don't have a problem with attracting customers. But shoot, if I do return to Vegas and need a car I will opt for another company.
