When our niece and nephew came to stay with us last month, they were very interested in touring the USS Cod. How could they not be? It's an interactive museum on water and a tangible piece of history!
We were all intrigued by the inner-workings of the submarine, not something civilians get to see on a regular basis. Such a narrow space for so many men! We loved the audio recordings and all of the wheels and gears and old books and bunks and photographs. Everything is preserved nicely and encourages you to imagine what daily life would be like on a sub during wartime.
The USS Cod is an impressive landmark on water!
