| - I would recommend that one never get a ground floor apartment, facing the pool, and jacuzzi. The pool has several TV's that are often blaring, day and night. They are supposed to be on a timer, but at any time they can be turned back on. The pool area/jacuzzi is open 24/7-and lots of all night goings on there.... Most other high end complexes have pool hours, usually closing at 10. We also had 21 yr frat boys above us, I am sure more than 2 boys were living there, partying and playing loud music day and night. I didn't get much help from staff on this, I had to call security almost every night. The apt. contract which we signed clearly states that that kind of disruptive behavior is not tolerated, and resident will be forced to leave-- but they stayed on. After a month, we moved to a 4th floor apt, and had to pay moving fees again for our furniture-- This apt, faced the empty lot of future Ritz Carleton, and things improved greatly. I recommend a 4th floor apt. with that view.
The reason I am giving this the 2 stars, though, is because of the experience I have had, trying to get my $500.00 deposit back. I don't know if my experience is common ..We have been trying for the past almost 3 months to get our deposit check, and have gotten the runaround from staff and Corporate. Excuses being, "let me check on it and get back to you" no one has ever called me back, or "I'll have to Call Corporate and they will call you back", never received an answer, and "Oh, We must have sent the check to the wrong address" and last, from Corporate" We sent it out Monday, here is the check number" Really! The check number doesn't help me one bit, if I never received it. My experience, still no check. This experience shows to me, a lack of consideration and professionalism by this Corporation, and its staff. I am still waiting for my check.
