| - I stood outside of the Shout House on a Saturday night waiting for my friend to arrive. Honestly, the lyrics in the songs that I was hearing while I waited almost made me want to suggest a different place. But my friend was the birthday girl, so I figure just suck it up and go with the flow for once in your life Ameerah.
Once inside, I noticed that the crowd was...how do I say this... friendly?! Shocked, very very shocked by this. Never have I been in a place in Glendale, where I didn't at least get half of the room giving me a dirty look or some trick bumping up against me on purpose just to start shit.
A lot of Vikings fans were in town that night, which may have accounted for the general niceness, and were so chill. Some ladies allowed us to sit in the seats their coats were hanging on so my friend could eat her food while we enjoyed the entertainment. And they were just dancing and carrying on conversation the entire time, one was very drunk, and made for some entertainment all on its own.
Another huge shock, I knew a majority of the songs that the entertainers were playing. Don't tell my cousins back home, I'll never live it down, they already still joke about me being square and this one would just floor them.
So yea, I had a great time, drinks and food were a bit on the pricey side for an unemployed student like myself, but good none the less. Service was pretty good too. Very quick food prep for how packed it was in there that night.
Now, I know my reviews recently have been focused on nightlife and I don't want you all getting the wrong idea about me, I normally don't party out this much. So just take your 'party-girl' label back right now!
